Presbyopia

Presbyopia is the optical condition in wich the patient looses its ability for reading and is due to age.

It’s a normal physiological process and it can be compared to the inability to focus a camera for near vision.

The camera simply looses its ability for near focus.

This problem starts around the age of 43-44 and Perfect Vision offers several options for the correction of presbyopia.

1. If you have presbyopia (older than 43), but you also have more than +1.25 diopters of hyperopia and less than 0.75 of astigmatism, you might be an excellent candidate for PREBYLASIK correction from VISX technology available in Mexico and Canada, but not yet in the states, due to FDA regulations.

3. INTRAOCULAR LENSES. Two mayor companies have developed multifocal intraocular lenses,the RESTOR by ALCON laboratories and the REZOOM by AMO laboratories.
   
   This fantastic intraocular lenses wil allow you to see near and far.

This are usually implanted in the eye after a cataract surgery.
